Sharlee Fleshman
YT-200 with Yoga Fusion | Yin Yoga | Pure Barre Fitness Teacher

Hi there! I’m Sharlee Fleshman, and I’ve called Maryland home my entire life, though I dream of retiring out west in the mountains someday. I’m 49, a proud mom of two, and happily married to my husband, Mike, for 19 years (we’ve been together for 26!). When I’m not teaching, you can find me running my business, Dragonfly Acres, LLC, and my non-profit rescue, Dragonfly Acres Farm, Inc. I’m also a freelance graphic designer with a passion for nature photography!
I became a Pure Barre Fitness Teacher in 2021 after falling in love with the community and technique, and I’m still teaching at Pure Barre Crofton today. In December 2022, I took my yoga journey to the next level by becoming a certified yoga instructor through a 200-Hour YTT program. This immersive experience deepened my understanding of yoga’s history, philosophies, chakra healing, meditation, and so much more. Along the way, I’ve become particularly drawn to the teachings of Buddhism and Hinduism.
My focus in teaching is all about the therapeutic and healing aspects of yoga, not just the physical poses. I’m certified as a trauma-informed yoga teacher and as a yin yoga instructor, and I truly believe in creating a space where everyone can explore and honor their bodies. My classes are for EVERY-BODY, so please don’t feel intimidated! We focus on self-grace and celebrate what our bodies can do. I’m so excited to offer a variety of classes and experiences, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you!

Kathleen James
CYT | RYT
Volunteering her time to teach
our Goat with the Flow
Kathleen began her yoga journey in 1999 when her son, then in college, introduced her to her first yoga class. After feeling all the benefits that yoga has to offer, she was immediately hooked and has since then integrated the practice into her daily life as a resource for personal growth, healing and awakening. Kathleen decided to pursue her dream of sharing the gift of yoga with others after attending a women’s retreat in San Diego in 2003 and has been a certified yoga teacher in Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) at the 200-hour level since 2005. She is also a registered with the Yoga Alliance.
IYT is a method of yoga that specializes in health and healing. Kathleen’s classes are based on a vision of health as a unity of body, mind and spirit. She brings her upbeat enthusiasm into her teaching and encourages her students to use their practice as a vehicle for self-expression and awareness.
Yoga gives us a focused mind, strong body, and vibrant spirit,” Kathleen explains.
Kathleen has taught at numerous studios as well as the prestigious United States Naval Academy. She has also devoted her time teaching for Team Red White and Blue (Team RWB), and Gratitude America, both organizations whose goal is to enrich the lives of Veterans. Kathleen is also certified in the Sekhem-Seichim Reiki Method of Universal Healing and enjoys the outdoors, cooking and reading.
As the spouse of a retired Naval Officer, Kathleen and her husband have lived in many parts of the country and have recently retired to Davidsonville, Maryland with their Labrador Retriever Reagan.
